zack + casey engagement

One of my best friends, Zack, who I’ve known since before we were born, recently asked Casey to marry him. Of course, she said, “Yes!” So when I was home for Thanksgiving, I asked if I could use them as guinea pigs for an engagement photo shoot, something I hadn’t done before. Overall, I didn’t get what I was hoping for, but I got these few that are worth sharing. Enjoy!

a weekend with Michaela in Washington

A few weeks ago, Dory and I went down to Washington to hang with my cousin, Michaela. On Saturday we went to the zoo for the last 30 minutes before they closed. On Sunday we went to the Newseum. Very cool museum.

A few weeks ago, I was in Chicago for a conference. So, I stuck around for the weekend to hang out with Terri, my step-mother. The highlight was our trip to the Field Museum of Natural History. It was absolutely amazing! We had about 4 hours there, but I could have spent another couple of days. Here’s what they had in fossils.

After having never gone to an NFL game (I think), I went to two this year. During opening week, on September 11, I met Shayne and her boyfriend in Baltimore for an excellent Ravens-Steelers game. With the number of former Hurricanes they have, I was definitely cheering for the Ravens, and it was nice to see them get a big win. A few weeks ago, I went to the Eagles-Cowboys game at Lincoln Financial, courtesy of Orthovita. Although very cold, it was a fun game to be at. The $3 hand/mouth warmer definitely helped.
