After waking up in Tallahassee, we met with other drivers at Doak Campbell Stadium, home of the Florida State Seminoles. On the way to New Orleans, the MINIs took over a small town in Florida’s panhandle. The last hour of the stretch was through the bayou south of the city: A nice stretch on which we almost ran out of gas! But we made it to the Crescent City, visited Tulane, and met up with some friends of mine.
We were supposed to take two days to get back home from Louisiana. Instead, we got to Gainesville around 10 and decided to go the rest of the way. After 16 hours and 12 in the car, we made it to our beds.
