Sometime last year (I think), Microsoft unveiled its Flash competitor, Silverlight. When version 2.0 came out sometime recently, it brought with it Deep Zoom. I won’t give any more details about it, but it lets you create fun ways to present photos (read more about it by clicking here). Well, a developer came up with a web-based viewer where anyone can create a Deep Zoom implementation using Flickr photos. Here are my beach photos:
If you don’t already have Silverlight installed, just click the link. It’s a quick and small installation, and you’ll be doing yourself a favor. I’m not sure I’ll be using this all that much, but I figured it was worth sharing.
And that’s all until I get back. Europe: here I come!
Update: I’m not sure what happened here, but even on a computer with Silverlight installed, this didn’t work. Oh well. It looked cool when I was building it.
